How it works
Four steps, and nothing to sign up for.
Start with the trade.
Eighteen groups, 273 categories, named the way people ask for them.
Narrow it to your place.
70 cities and towns across 22 states, territories and regions.
Read what the listing carries.
Trading address, contact details, public reviews as written, and whether a business is a featured partner.
You deal with the business.
The quote, the booking and the work are between you and them. LocalCare is not a party to it.
How we choose
What a listing has to carry.
Standards vary by business, not by suburb. These checks are how we tell them apart.
- You never pay LocalCare anything.
- Featured partners are labelled wherever they appear.
- Coverage counts places. Listings count approved businesses. Never both at once.
The full method is published at trust and safety.
Where we cover
Two markets, grouped the way people say it.
States and territories in Australia, regions in New Zealand.
Businesses
Featured partners, across the network.
A featured partner pays to be featured. It is not a rating, and it does not change what you pay.
Reviews
What customers actually wrote.
Public reviews, aggregated and screened. We do not verify that a reviewer was a customer, and we do not write them.

Dentist is professional and gentle, made the experience less stressful. Thank you. Nice decor too. But the receptionist can be a little more friendlier

Questions
The things people ask first.
What does LocalCare cost me?
Nothing. The directory is free to browse, and you pay the business you hire at the price they quote you, never through us.
Which places do you cover?
Australia and New Zealand, from the capital cities out to the regional centres. Browse the location index above to see whether your city has a page yet.
What does "featured partner" mean?
It means the business pays to be featured, and we label it wherever it appears. It is not a rating, a ranking, or an endorsement of the work.
Where do the reviews come from?
They are public reviews, aggregated and screened before they are shown. We do not verify that a reviewer visited the business, and we do not write reviews.
Do I have to sign up?
No. There is no account, no form and no newsletter. Browse the categories and places, and contact a business yourself.
I run a business. How do I get listed?
Use the registration page on the partner site. We will tell you what a listing needs before it goes live, and what a featured partner label does and does not do.
Start with your suburb.
Pick the trade, then the place. Everything here is free to browse and there is nothing to sign up for.
